Element Zero Named AFR Sustainability Leaders 2026 Finalist
Element Zero has been named a finalist in the Resources & Energy category of the Financial Review Sustainability Leaders 2026, presented by BDO.
The annual Sustainability Leaders program recognises organisations developing practical and innovative approaches to sustainability and creating measurable environmental and business impact.
Element Zero was recognised for our green metals technology and its potential to reduce emissions from industrial metals production.
Our Australian-developed electrochemical process is designed to convert iron ore into high-purity iron using renewable electricity, providing an alternative to conventional ironmaking processes that rely on coal and other carbon-based materials.
The recognition comes as Element Zero continues to scale its technology in Western Australia and work towards the commercial production of green iron using Australian iron ore, renewable energy and Australian-developed technology.
Element Zero was named alongside fellow finalist RELA in the Resources & Energy category, with Licella selected as the 2026 category winner.
